The Beginning: Finding a Voice

WOMAN began as a voice online. Through Steps of Style, Amy Appleton-Dreyer shared her personal style, home, and the brands she believed in, and over time, began speaking openly about womanhood, motherhood, divorce, entrepreneurship, and change. What started as visual inspiration became a space for honesty, connection, and shared experience.

Community Takes Shape

As Amy shared more of her personal journey, women showed up. Conversations deepened, relationships formed, and a community of like-minded women emerged - offering support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. This collective connection became the foundation for everything WOMAN would become.

Bringing It to Life

Inspired by the power of that community, Amy opened Blackbird Collection - a sustainable lifestyle concept rooted in intention and connection. Wanting to create more space for real conversation, she launched the first WOMAN event, bringing women together in person to learn, share, and grow.

Education & Empowerment

WOMAN evolved into a recurring event series centered on empowering women through education and support. Each event focuses on topics often left unspoken - financial wellness, physical and mental health, small business ownership, relationships, and navigating change, all while fostering a culture of women supporting women.
