Where Money Meets Meaning: Inside the WOMAN Financial Literacy Event

Where Money Meets Meaning: Inside the WOMAN Financial Literacy Event

For our third WOMAN gathering, we brought women together for a morning rooted in connection, conversation, and clarity - centered on a topic that's often avoided, misunderstood, or made to feel intimidating: money.

Hosted at Blackbird Collection, this women's financial literacy event in Kansas City was designed to open up an honest dialogue around wealth, value, investing, and financial independence, reframing money not as a measure of status, but as a tool for financial empowerment, freedom, and self-trust.

Why Financial Literacy Matters for Women

Because wealth isn’t just about numbers.

It’s about knowing your worth.

Our panel discussion featured Grace Arnold, Paige Fowler, Shannon Wooten, Jordan Louis, and Jordin Johnson.

A Panel of Women Building, Investing, and Leading with Intention

Meet the Panelists

At the heart of the morning was a powerful panel discussion featuring Grace Arnold, Paige Fowler, Shannon Wooten, Jordan Louis, and Jordin Johnson - women entrepreneurs and business owners who are actively building businesses, making strategic financial decisions, and redefining success on their own terms.

The conversation centered on what it actually looks like to build as a woman, beyond the highlight reel.

Key Discussion Topics

Topics ranged from:

  • Starting and scaling a small business
  • Navigating risk, investment, and long-term financial planning
  • Building financial confidence and wealth literacy without having all the answers
  • Letting go of shame around “not knowing” and learning as you go
  • Defining success in ways that feel aligned, not inherited

Permission to Start Where You Are

Rather than offering rigid formulas, the panel emphasized accessibility, curiosity, and permission.

Permission to ask questions, to start where you are, and to build financial literacy and investment knowledge over time.
